VirtualSharp, developer of ReliableDR released version 2.6 of it’s DR/BC solution at October 31. ReliableDR is used to protect VMware virtual machines by replication of the virtual machine to a recovery site. Unique feature not available in other solutions like VMware Site Recovery Manager is the Disaster Recovery Assurance feature. ReliableDR wil automatically verify each recovery point to check if it can be restored according to RTO and RPO agreed with the business using the protected applications.
ReliableDR is storage agnostic because of the host based replication feature. Replication using the storage array is also possible.

New features in version 2.6 are:
-Fully Automated Failover / Failback – Enables servers, business applications and IT Services to be failed over and back again between sites quickly and easily, which reduces the level of complexity and time required to restore systems back to the primary datacenter.
-Datacenter Migration & Planned Maintenance – Enables datacenter managers to rehearse the migration of IT Services from one datacenter to another, which enables organizations to accommodate for planned maintenance, power outages etc. and perform datacenter migrations more quickly and without risk.
–Disaster Avoidance – Enables IT Services to be moved from one datacenter to another quickly and easily, prior a looming disaster such as a hurricane, and then moved back to the primary datacenter once the danger has passed.
– Application-Aware Snapshots – Improves the recoverability of IT Services, by enabling application consistent snapshots of virtual machines to be taken, using Microsoft VSS or custom scripts.
– Web Dashboard – Enables in-house IT to monitor the recoverability of their IT Services remotely via a web browser from any mobile device, including smart phones and tablets, as well as provide real time application-level reporting of recovery readiness and monitor the SLA compliance of their DR services over time.
